Visa Information:

We will provide Invitation Letters to all Summit participants requiring one in order to apply for US visa. Summit attendees from Open Cirrus memeber sites who need extended time for visa processing should contact the Program Chairs at and include their full name, title and affiliation, address and passport number, or any other information required by the US Embassy in the country of residence. Students should include a note from their advisor approving their attendance. All others should provide additional information regarding their intent to participate at the summit.

PLEASE INCLUDE: "Open Cirrus Invitation Letter Request" in the subject line to ensure timely response.

Making hotel reservations

The Georgia Tech established rate is $125/night plus 15% tax. Reservations can be made directly with the GT Hotel and Conference Center through their reservations office.

To receive the Georgia Tech rate:

  • Please identify yourself with the CERCS Meeting when you make your reservation
  • Call the hotel on or before Sep. 30, 2011, or
  • For online booking: You can click on the following link CERCS Open Cirrus & Fall I/UCRC IAB Meeting - Hotel Reservations Link to book your reservations. Guests can also access the CERCS Open Cirrus reservations link by logging on to the GT Hotel website www.gatechhotel.com , clicking on the button "Group Booking" (without entering dates) and entering the group password "cercs1011" (lower-case letters only).
The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center is located about .2 miles from the North Avenue Midtown MARTA station. Board any MARTA train from the airport and exit at the North Avenue MARTA stop. In addition, the hotel is on the Georgia Tech Trolley line, which connects the hotel with the Midtown MARTA station, and the Klaus Advanced Computing Building.
