To CERCS Faculty Continuing RFP: CERCS encourages faculty to propose seed funding efforts to the CERCS directors. The purpose of these efforts should be to (1) broaden relationships with current CERCS member companies and/or (2) develop joint research with potential new members. To apply for such funding, faculty should talk with CERCS directors, assuming a funding model similar to that of Georgia's GRA Innovation funds. The CERCS program is less restrictive than the GRA program in that it is not restricted to GA companies or to the one-to-one cost sharing model used by GRA. However, proposed work must have joint CERCS/industry investigators, with a clearly defined path for future industry or federal funding resulting from this seed grant. Further, the assumption is that such funding will result in invigorating existing company relationships of in generating new company memberships for CERCS. Ongoing joint faculty/industry research efforts with current CERCS member companies do not qualify for this funding. |
